Half of our School Council visited the University of Chichester to attend their Student Voice Summit with Mrs Brooks. We thought about what makes a good school councillor, how our school council works and the barriers pupils face in learning. The other school councillors will attend the next Student Voice Summit in the new year.

School Council 2017-18

As part of our pupil voice at Court Lane Junior School, we have elected a member of the class to attend school council meetings every fortnight.  Following the meetings, the school councillors then feedback to their classes and gather other children's opinions and thoughts on a particular topic.  So far this year, we have discussed: how to use PTA money to benefit learning; what well-being means; an E Safety poster vote and we are due to go to the University of Chichester as part of our learning about pupil voice.
