All pupils in Year 3 put on a wonderful Eurovision Song Extravaganza in a packed main Hall, singing winning hits from the last 40 years of the competition. Each class contributed a song and dance routine, some of which mirrored the original performances and others using the pupils ideas and interpretations. Parents commented: "I wanted to sing along - well done", "fantastic song", "great singing"
The audience was then invited back to the classrooms to taste the delicious traditional dishes on offer from the European countries the children have been studying in their learning challenge, DT and guided reading. Visitors filled in taste experience cards for the food the children had prepared (tzatziki, pizza, cheesy garlic bread, hummus and tomato salad).
Quotes from parents included: "Food very tasty", "Best pizza I have eaten!", "lovely hummus", "Food was deee-licious!"
Well done to all Year 3 pupils for an amazing day of cooking, singing, dancing and sharing of learning.
Thank you to our audience and visitors to the classrooms who shared this fabulous experience with us.
